1 Corinthians 6:12-20

1. Our bodies are to be used for the Lord

Verse 13

Romans 12:1-“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

2. Our bodies will be raised

Verse 14

Romans 8:11-“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

Philippians 3:20-21-“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”

1 Thessalonians 4:4-5-“that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.” ESV
