1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1

1. Advice to live by

Verses 23-30

1 Corinthians 6:12-“All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful.”

Philippians 2:3-4 –“Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

2. The God to glorify

Verse 31

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14-“ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.”  

3. The goal to strive for

Verses 10:32-11:1

Matthew 16:24-“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
