1 Corinthians 5:9-13

1. Always go back to the original

Verse 9

2 Timothy 3:16-17-“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2. Look to God’s Word for clarification

Verses 10-11

Psalm 119:130-“The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.”

3. Remember your purpose

Verses 12-13

Philippians 2:15-16-“That you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life

John 17:15-16, 18I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world….As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.”
