1. Addiction starts with a decision
Verse 15
Acts 18:5-“was compelled by the Spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ.”
Acts 18:8-11-“And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized. Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, ‘Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.’ And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.”
1 Corinthians 1:16-“Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other.”
2. Characteristics of addiction
Verse 15
Colossians 1:18-“that in all things He may have the preeminence.”
Jeremiah 20:9-“Then I said, ‘I will not make mention of Him, nor speak anymore in His name.’ But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not.”
Hebrews 10:24-“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works.”
3. Seek to be around other addicts
