The Importance of Spiritual Gifts
1 Corinthians 12:1-7,11
1. Spiritual gifts come from the Holy Spirit
Verses 1, 4, and 11
Luke 15:12-“And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of the good that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood.”
2. All Christians have spiritual gifts
Verses 4-7
1 Peter 4:10-11-“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies.”
3. Spiritual gifts are to be used for the Body of Christ
Verses 4-7
Ephesians 4:12-“for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
1 Timothy 4:14-“Do not neglect the gift that is in you.”
