Caution! Danger Ahead!
Colossians 2: 4-10
- Be alert to the danger
Verse 4 and 8
James 1: 22-“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
2 John 10-11-“If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.”
- Prepare for the danger
Verses 6-7
Psalms 1:1-3-“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”
- Seek the One who can help with the danger
Verses 9-10
John 1:12-“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.”
Ephesians 1:3-5-“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.”
2 Peter 1:3-“His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”
