Revelation 19:11-21

1. The reality of His return

Verse 11

Revelation 1:7-Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.”

Acts 1:9-11-“ Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

2. The description of the King

Verses 11-16

2 Corinthians 1:20-“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”

John 14:1-3-“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

Luke 22:70-“Then they all said, “Are You then the Son of God?” So He said to them, “You rightly say that I am.”

Luke 23:3-“ Then Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” He answered him and said, It is as you say.”

John 1:1, 14-“ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Hebrews 1:1-3-“ God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person.”

Isaiah 11:4-“But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.”
