The Gift that keeps on giving

Colossians 1:19-291. Jesus gives peace with God.

Verses 19-22

Isaiah 59:2-“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you.”

Romans 5:1-“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

2. Jesus gives cleansing from our sin.

Verse 22

1 John 1:9-“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Luke 15:20-“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.”

3. Jesus gives power to share Him.

Verses 27-29

Matthew 5:9–“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”
