Psalm 86:8-10

Psalm 8:1-“O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth, Whohave set Your glory above the heavens!” 

1. God is the great King

Verses 8-10

Malachi 1:14-“For I am a great King,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘and My name is to be feared among the nations.”

Deuteronomy 10:17-“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.”

Isaiah 40:25-“To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal?’ says the Holy One.”

Philippians 2:8-11-“He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

2. God is the great Owner 

Psalm 24:1-“The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.”

Genesis 1:1-“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

Revelation 4:11-“You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”

Psalm 139:3-“ You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.” 

Matthew 10:29-“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.” 

1 Corinthians 6:19-20-“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Psalm 16:2-“O my soul, you have said to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord, my goodness is nothing apart from You.”

Joshua 24:15-“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
