Lamentations 3:22-25
1. The fate we deserve
Verse 22
Jeremiah 17:9-“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked;who can know it?”
Romans 7:18-“For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells.”
Romans 3:10-“There is none righteous, no, not one.”
Romans 3:23-“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 6:23-“For the wages of sin is death.”
Colossians 1:17-“He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.”
2. The qualities of God’s faithfulness
Verses 22-23
Deuteronomy 7:9-“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.”
2 Timothy 2:13-“If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”
Psalm 89:8-“O Lord God of hosts, who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.”
3. Trust God for the future
Verses 24-25
Isaiah 30:18-“Blessed are all those who wait for Him.”
Isaiah 40:31-“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.”
