1 Samuel 4:10-22
1. Don’t give into compromise
Verse 18
1 Samuel 2:12-“Now the sons of Eli were corrupt, they did not know the Lord.”
2. Don’t just talk, but act
1 Samuel 3:12-13-“In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end. For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them.”
3. Realize everyone is responsible for their choices
Galatians 6:7-9-“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
